Workshop Outline:
Overview
This IB Mathematics AA Summer Workshop is designed for students preparing for IB Math Analysis and Approaches SL or HL who want to build a stronger foundation before the new academic year.
The course focuses on core syllabus topics, key problem-solving techniques, and common question styles in IB Math AA. Students will review important concepts, practise structured questions, and learn how to present working clearly for exam-style problems.
Each lesson is taught in a small group setting, allowing students to receive focused guidance, ask questions, and prepare more confidently for the coming school year.
Core Topics Covered
Pre-IB AA HL Year 1
This workshop prepares students entering IB Math AA HL Year 1 by strengthening algebra, functions, graphs, trigonometry, logarithms, sequences, and introductory calculus skill concepts. Students will focus on building the mathematical fluency needed for the faster pace and higher difficulty of AA HL.
Pre-IB AA SL Year 1
This workshop prepares students entering IB Math AA SL Year 1 by reviewing key pre-IB skill concepts including algebra, functions, equations, graph transformations, trigonometry, and basic calculus ideas. The focus is on building confidence and avoiding weak foundations before starting the IB syllabus.
IB AA HL Final Year
This workshop is for students moving into their final year of IB Math AA HL. It focuses on high-weight topic concepts such as calculus, functions, trigonometry, sequences, proof, vectors, complex numbers, and HL-style problem solving. Students will practise longer exam-style questions and learn how to handle multi-step problems more strategically.
IB AA SL Final Year
This workshop is for students moving into their final year of IB Math AA SL. It reviews key exam topic concepts including functions, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, probability, and graph-based questions. The course focuses on strengthening exam technique, improving working presentation, and reducing common mistakes.
